Excellence Masters Scholarship at the University of Geneva – The Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva has established an Excellence Fellowship Program with the help of several sponsors to provide financial assistance to exceptional and highly motivated students who are pursuing a Master of Science degree in one of the areas taught by the Faculty.

The University of Geneva’s Faculty of Science is a top research institution in the world. This state-of-the-art study encompasses numerous scientific fields.

Switzerland is the host country for this scholarship.

Information about the Scholarship

The Master’s degrees offered by the Faculty of Science provide an excellent foundation for future professional and academic success, leading to rewarding careers in areas such as business, education, government, and the media.

Criteria for Awarding Scholarships:

Scholarship candidates must meet the following requirements:

Students in the top ten percent of their bachelor’s degree program from any university are eligible to apply for an Excellence Fellowship at the University of Geneva. Applicants must have already earned or be within six months of earning their bachelor’s degree.

The applicants will be chosen based on how well they perform.

The information submitted by applicants will be considered in the evaluation process.

The Masters program in the Faculty of Science does not mandate knowledge of French.

Paperwork Necessary

The following items MUST be included in a SINGLE pdf file with the application (in English or French):

One’s national ID card or passport scanned.

Example of a Resume or CV (2 pages maximum).

Evidence of successful completion of all required undergraduate coursework, including detailed grading information.

A statement of purpose detailing the specific scientific interests you have and why you want to pursue a Master of Science degree at the University of Geneva.

For the most part: Two academic references attesting to your suitability for this program (ideally emailed directly to Excellence-Master-Sciences@unige.ch from your professors).
Include anything else you think might be relevant, such as your GRE, TOEFL, or other language test scores.

Starting in January of each year, applications can be submitted online. After signing up, an email with a unique link to the application form will be sent to your inbox.

The date to submit applications again is March 15th, 2023. (for Masters starting September 18, 2023).
